FAITH FORMATION PROGRAM​​Returning Students:Parents of children who were
enrolled in our Religious Education program last year should have already
received a letter and schedule in the mail. Please contact the rectory (203)
265-1694 if you have not received the mailing.

Sessions:All classes will be held on Monday afternoon/evenings either in the
church or rectory. Grades 1, 2 & 3 will meet from 4:45 – 5:45 Grades 4,5
& 6 will meet from 6:00 – 7:00 Grades 7 & 8 will meet from 7:15 –
8:15 __________________________________________________ Home Study:Although not
encouraged, a Home Study option will be offered once again this year for
children who have a commitment that would interfere with the day/time of the
class session. It is not necessary for a child to be in Home Study all year. If
the conflict is only for a short period of time they may join or re-join the
class once the conflict is over. To enroll in the Home Study Program, please

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS NEEDED All teacher slots are not filled. Many thanks to all
who have come forward to be teachers. We are in need of a few more volunteers to
serve as substitute teachers. Substitutes would be called upon on an “as-need”
basis when a teacher is unable to attend a class session. If you are interested,

CHRIST OPENING MASS AND PARISH FAMILY PICNICSave the date… We will be having
an Opening Mass and Parish Family Picnic on Sunday, September 16th from 11:30 –
2:00. All are invited to join us for a day of fun, food and fellowship. Children
in our Alive in Christ Program will meet their teachers and classmates at the
picnic.There is no cost to attend the picnic, however, for planning purposes,
please fill out a form located in the vestibule or you may repond to this email.
Please state how many members of your family will be attending. Picnic forms
were also mailed out to all returning Religious Education students.​​

ADORATION Eucharistic Adoration will take place on Saturday, July 7t from 8:30am
until 4:30pm. All are invited to spend some quiet time with our Lord in the
Blessed Sacrament. There is a sign-up sheet located in the vestibule. You are
welcome to come whether or not you have signed up.

Parishioners are now able to give each week to the Offertory Collection by

Alive in Christ Religious Education

We are very excited to share with you our new Religious Education Program called
“Alive in Christ.” Beginning in September, “Alive in Christ” will
replace the current format we had been using. This program, which has been
developed within the last year by educators, child psychologists, clergy and
parents, incorporates the following:Multi-sensory learningHands-on activitiesThe
incorporation of music and the other arts in each lessonInteractive online
activities and games for students to explore at homeOnline resources for parents
that coincide with the student lessonsA family connection and opportunities for
family discussions at homeLessons that follow the Church Liturgical
CalendarOne-hour long sessions – once a week from mid-September through

Help Needed

Dear Parishioners,One our church members is in need of some help with weeding
and other light yard work. The parishioner is willing to pay $20.00 and hour.
This would also be a perfect opportunity for high school students to receive
community service hours. If you are interested please contact the rectory at

Catholic Young Men’s Night

CATHOLIC YOUNG MEN’S NIGHTA Gathering of Faith and FraternityYoung men who are
High School or College age are invited to an evening gathering centered on
prayer, food, and discussion about how to grow closer to our Lord, deepening the
faith so that it may be lived actively in daily life. The topics for the
evenings will cover: faithful living as a Catholic Man, how to actually discern
God’s Will for each man in his own life, ways to maintain the faith in
difficult times or when doubting, and even methods of prayer. Evenings will also
feature time to discuss the topics openly and freely, asking seminarians about
their own experience/insight, knowing that what is said within the group will be
kept in the strictest confidentiality. If you are interested in attending once a
week for a gathering of faithful fraternity with other men your age (high
school/college), please fill out the interest cutoff at the bottom or simply
show up (if you don’t fill out the cutoff don’t worry, you are still
welcome). If you cannot make the first session, you are welcome to attend any
future session. When: Sundays at 6:30 PM, starting June 24thand continuing until
