Merry Christmas

Dear Parishioners and Friends, Merry Christmas!….Nollaig Shona Dhuit!….Buon
Natale!….Feliz Navidad!….Joyeux Noel!….Feliz Natal!….Eftihismena
Christougenna!….Wesolych Swiat!…Boas Festas!….Frohliche
Weihnachten!….Merii Kurisumasu!….Mele Kalikimaka!….Regardless of the
language that is spoken, the message is the same. Wishes of happiness, joy, love
and peace unite the one family of God as we celebrate the birth of our Savior,
Jesus Christ. We find the wonderful meaning of Christmas summarized in St.
John’s Gospel (3:16). “For God so loved the world that he gave us His only Son,
that all who believe in Him shall not perish but may have eternal life.”
Elsewhere in John’s Gospel Jesus proclaims that He is: “The Light of the
World” for all who live in spiritual darkness -“The Way” when we lose our sense
of direction in life and need guidance – “The Truth” when we question or doubt
our beliefs and need reassurance – “The Resurrection and the Life” when we
complete our earthly journey and need salvation. Yes, Jesus is our model and
guide in life, the priceless gift of the Father. Please accept my heartfelt
gratitude for all who worked so hard to make our “Giving Tree” so successful!!
You have made Christmas real for so many families. You are a true reflection of
Christ’s light and love! Your generosity is unsurpassed. Let us continue to
emulate Jesus in our daily living!! May Christ bless you with his finest
gifts!!! Merry Christmas!!Msgr. John GeorgiaWishing you and your families a
Merry Christmas.
