Alive In Christ Update

IMPORTANT INFORMATIONDear Parents of our Alive In Christ Program,A
decision has been made to continue home-schooling Faith Formation students
throughout the remainder of this school year with the exception of grades 2
& 9. In grade 2 the children receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and
Communion and in grade 9 the Sacrament of Confirmation. Because these are
sacramental years for these two grades, it is very important that they attend
in-person classes so they can be properly prepared. More information will be
sent out soon regarding schedules and proper protocols for in-person
learning. All other grades (1,3,4,5,6,7 & 8) should complete their textbooks
(end of chapter/unit reviews) and hand in their books by the first Sunday of
May. We know this is not ideal, but for the safety of both students and teachers
we cannot bring everyone back with the space limitations that we have at the
church. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. The
door is always open, I look forward to hearing from you. Let’s hope and pray
that we can get back to some sense of normalcy next school-year. On behalf of
Monsignor Georgia and all of us here at the Church of the Resurrection, I hope
you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Joe

ANNUAL MEMORIAL MASS

Each year in the month of November, the Church celebrates two great feasts: All
Saints (November 1st) and All Souls (November 2nd).One of the most consoling
truths of our Catholic Faith is that when our loved ones pass from this life,
they are not beyond our ability to reach them. In a real and beautiful way, our
deceased loved ones are able to help us and intercede for us. Quite literally,
they are only a prayer away.Of all the prayers we have, the most powerful one is
the Mass. Each year, we at the Church of the Resurrection we offer a special
Mass for those who have passed away throughout the past year. The Knights of
Columbus will hold their Memorial Mass on Tuesday, November 10th at 7:00pm and
our Parish Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 11th at 7:00pm.
