Merry Christmas

Dear Parishioners and Friends,We find the wonderful meaning of Christmas
summarized in St. John’s Gospel 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that he
gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but
might have eternal life.”In John’s Gospel, Jesus proclaims that He is:“the
Light of the world” for all who live in spiritual darkness“the way” when
we lose our sense of direction in life and need guidance“the truth” when we
question or doubt our beliefs and need reassurance“the resurrection and the
life” when we complete our earthly journey and need salvation. Imagine what
your life would be like if Jesus has not come to earth!! The Babe of Bethlehem,
the Christ Child, is the most precious gift any of us can ever receive. The gift
of Jesus is one that can never be matched, only graciously and joyously
accepted. Our celebration of His birth is our promise to do all we can to live
as He lived and love as He loved. We are to be a reflection of his light and
love to others – so that all may come to know Him as their friend and savior.
Once again, you have done this so well through your outstanding generosity
that has made Christmas so special, so real for so many families. With gratitude,
I wish you a Merry Christmas!!As ever,Msgr. John GeorgiaChristmas Mass
