Faith Formation Program UpdateDear Parents,Hopefully this email finds you
and your family well. Below is some updated information regarding the Faith
Formation Program.Originally, we had asked all students in grades 1 – 6 to
complete the chapter reviews up through chapter 20 in their Alive in Christ
textbook and turn it in on Monday, May 4th. This date has been changed to June
1st. (Only the chapter reviews need to be completed.)If your child finishes
his/her work before June 1st, please feel free to leave the completed textbook
in the vestibule of the church. There will be a table for the books to left on.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD’S NAME IS ON THE BOOK. The church is open daily
from 8:00 – 4:00.Grades 7 & 8 students should complete their
packets and return them by June 1st as well. In order for grade promotion to
take place, your child’s completed work must be turned in.First Communion
will not take place on May 9, 2020 as originally scheduled. The new date for
First Communion will be Saturday, October 17th at 10:00am. All First Communion
parents should have received a separate email with detailed information about
additional classes and rehearsals in the Fall.Next year’s Faith Formation
Classes will start a month later than usual (Monday, October 19) for students
going into grades 1, 2, 4, 5, & 6 due to the creative scheduling that needs
to take place to prepare the First Communion students. A detailed schedule and
new registration form for school-year 2020-2021 will be emailed out in July and
should be returned by August 1st. As always, thank you for your continued
flexibility and support during these unprecedented times. Please feel free to
reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
