September Newsletter

Newsletter​​​Parish Picnic​​All are invited to our annual Parish
Picnic which will be held on Sunday, 17th from 11:30am – 2:00pm. We hope you can
join us for an afternoon of food, fun and fellowship. Hotdogs, hamburgers, side
dishes, beer and soft drinks will be provided. There will be yard games, bounce
houses, music, and more…..So we can plan accordingly, please click here, print
out the sign-up form and return it to church no later than September
10th.​​​​​Faith Formation ClassesRegistration for Faith Formation
classes is taking place. If you have not returned your child’s form, please do
so as soon as possible. Registration forms were emailed out. They can also be
downloaded from our parish website. www.resurrectionct.orgClasses will begin the
week of September 18th.​September’s ScheduleGrades 1 & 2: Mondays from
4:45pm – 5:45pmGrades 3 & 4: Mondays from 6:00pm – 7:00pmGrade 5: Mondays
from 7:00pm – 8:00pm​Grades 6 – 8: Sunday, September 24 from 10:30am –
12:30pm.​Confirmation Grade 9: Sunday, September 10th from 10:30am – 12:30pm
& Sunday, September 17th – volunteering at the Parish Picnic.​Confirmation
Grade 10 – The Sacrament of Confirmation will be administered on Saturday,
September 30th at 10:00am at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Hartford. Parents
should have received an email with more details.FIRST GRADE TEACHER NEEDED: We
are in need of a first grade Faith Formation Teacher. If you are interested or
would like more information, please contact Joe at 203-265-1694.Substitute Faith
Formation Teachers: We can always use more substitute teachers for our Faith
Formation Program. Please let us know if you are interested.CALLING ALL
SINGERSThe choir is always looking for more singers to join them. Their season
will begin on Thursday, September 21st at 7:00pm in the church. The choir
provides music at the 10:30 Mass from October – May. Please see Joe for more
information or if you have any questions.​​​​BLESSING OF PETS​​The
Blessing of Pets will take place on Saturday, October 7th at 10:00am in front of
the church.​​​TOWN OF WALLINGFORD HOUSING NEEDSCome join us and let’s
start a conversation about housing in Wallingford…Wallingford’s housing
working group needs to hear your voice! Please join us for a conversation about
housing in Wallingford — what we’ve got, what we need and want, and what we can
do about it together. Come tell your story, share your thoughts, and let your
wants and needs be heard. We want to make it possible for everyone in town to
have housing options that work for them. The meeting will be held at the Church
of the Resurrection on Wednesday, September 13th at 7:00pm.​​
